This Land Acknowledgement was created by the children within our group. We participated in an excursion to Crawford Lake where we learned about how the Indigenous people cared for and thrived on this land prior to the arrival of the settlers.
Reaching Out would like to acknowledge that we are on the ancestral and traditional land of the Credit First Nations. We are thankful for this land and recognize that it provides us with the opportunity to play, learn, enjoy, share, respect and love. We intend to use this piece of Turtle Island to build community.
